The Orange Acoustic Pedal takes all the know-how of our acclaimed Acoustic Pre TC preamp and Crush Acoustic 30 amplifier, cramming it all into a do-it-all, compact preamp pedal. Whether you need to win the battle against feedback, handle complex effects chains, brighten up a dull instrument or just plug into a PA, the Acoustic Pedal has you covered – in top-notch Orange style. With a low-noise JFET circuit design, surgical-yet-flattering EQ, XLR and 1/4″ outputs and a buffered FX Loop, all situations are taken care of. This high-headroom, high-quality pedal keeps your setup simple and controlled, leaving you free to do what you do best. Play.

Acoustic instruments can be tricky. When dealing with feedback, finnicky pickups and finding a place in the mix, you need an EQ that is both powerful and simple. The Middle knob works in conjunction with the Notch and Q Factor controls to subtly sculpt your sound or tackle feedback with precision. Fixed-frequency Bass and Treble knobs give you much-needed control over the “body” and “sparkle” of your instrument.

The Acoustic Pedal uses a single-ended JFET circuit design to guarantee insanely low levels of background noise. No hiss, even with the Treble control maxed! Super-high headroom comes courtesy of the 18V power supply, guaranteeing the cleanest, clearest acoustic tone we could give you.

Connect straight to the P.A. with no need for a D.I. box. Our studio-grade, balanced XLR output will drive long cable runs with noise-free, high-fidelity performance. The built in phase flip enables eradication of phase cancellation issues at the press of a button, while the additional 1/4″ mono jack output can be used simultaneously for ultimate flexibility.

Effects aren’t just for electric guitarists. In the world of the modern acoustic player, where loopers, reverbs and delays are just as important as the instrument itself, creating the perfect signal chain is essential. Our highly-transparent, buffered FX Loop gives you the freedom to build your dream acoustic rig, without compromise.

The Orange Acoustic Pedal is a Single Ended, Class A, Acoustic Preamp, with a Full Parametric Midrange / Notch Filter, and a Buffered FX Loop.

When you add up all the positives: The build quality, the clean tone, the well thought out ins and outs, the EQ and the price…. it’s a no brainer to me if you’re looking for an external preamp

The TH100 takes the hugely popular TH30 blueprint and gives it 100 Watts of earth-shattering power. With jangly cleans and high-gain filth coexisting in perfect harmony, the sheer range of tones that can be dialed in from just six controls is nothing short of jaw-dropping. A quartet of EL34 valves provides a solid, musical foundation and switchable output power can be used to tailor the amp’s natural overdrive to any situation. To top it all off, our low-impedance, valve-buffered effects loop makes sure all your pedals are handled with finesse.

The Dirty channel features four carefully-crafted stages of gain and the same powerful Shape control first seen on our Thunderverb series. Sweeping the midrange from scooped to boosted, this all-in-one control makes fine-tuning your distorted tones easier than ever before. This channel remains unerringly focussed, steeped in complex harmonic overtones even at maximum gain settings.

The non-master volume Clean channel is a 2-stage design with a 2-band EQ, delivering sweet, crystalline cleans right up to the point of breakup, and classic crunch when pushed over the top. This channel works flawlessly with the EL34 power section to offer a great selection of more vintage tones with massive headroom.

With four EL34 valves and our famously heavy-duty proprietary transformers, the TH100’s hard-hitting and articulate 100 Watt power amp can also be switched down to 70, 50 or 30 Watts (using the 4 Valve/2 Valve switch and Full/Half Power modes). Whether you’re looking for hi-fi, modern tones or cranking out retro crunch, feel and dynamics are always retained – at any volume.

No modern amp would be complete without a great FX Loop. Our highly-transparent, all-valve design makes sure your signal path gets nothing but the best treatment, no matter how complex your pedal setup.

2.  TH100 head – Clean – through a CRPRO412 cab  and using a Fender Nashville Telecaster

This amp is a versatile, fully modern beast that delivers everything from rich clean tones to the heaviest metal sounds that any user can dial in instantly.

The TH100 is a great British amplifier in every sense of the phrase.

It’s hard to describe the TH100 set to maximum gain without using words like apocalypse, hellfire and chronic tinnitus.

For years, our Terror series amps have proven that the biggest sounds can come in the tiniest packages. Taking our pocket-sized powerhouse concept one step further, we’ve brought you the Terror Stamp. Packing all of the punch of the minuscule Micro Terror and Micro Dark amps into an even smaller pedal format, this Valve/Solid State hybrid amp brings 20 Watts of killer Orange tone right onto your pedalboard.

The Terror Stamp’s tiny footprint, 8/16 Ohm Speaker Output, fully-buffered FX Loop and CabSim headphone output integrate seamlessly with your other pedals, whether you’re rocking a loud stage, recording direct or practising into the early hours.

The Terror Stamp Cable is a 20ft speaker cable. Perfect for giving you extra range from your speaker cabinet when used on a pedal board.

The Terror Stamp is based on the Micro Dark with a few minor tweaks to the gain structure and the CabSim, with the added feature of being able to set up two volume levels and switch between them.

Typically-Orange simplicity, unmistakably-Orange tone. The Terror Stamp’s hybrid Valve/Solid State design gives you the best of both worlds. From crystal-clean to thundering high-gain, the ECC83 (12AX7)-based preamp has all the harmonics, dynamics and feel you’d expect, while the 20W Class AB Solid State power amp keeps things small, dependable and sounding great at any volume.

Footswitchable Master Volume controls give you the Terror Stamp’s full range of sounds at two different volumes. Jump right out of the mix for that all-important solo, without sacrificing your carefully crafted tone.

Our exclusive Shape knob crams a whole load of character and control into a single dial. Turn anticlockwise for a mid-forward voicing or clockwise for a classic scoop.

Just like our full-size amps, we’ve given you a fully-buffered, low-impedance FX Loop. Long cable runs? No Problem. True Bypass pedals? Great. The Terror Stamp fits right into your signal chain without ever compromising sound quality. Not only that, but connecting directly to the FX Return turns this little monster into a 20W power amp for whatever pedals, preamps or modellers you can throw at it – with a headphone output too!

It wouldn’t be the perfect pedal amp without a headphone output. Our tried-and-tested, analogue CabSim circuit provides instant access to a very Orange-flavoured 4×12 speaker emulation. Just the thing for late-night practice with headphones, ‘silent’ recording or running direct to PA. The Headphone Output works simultaneously with the Speaker Output for maximum versatility.

The most portable 20 Watt amp ever, and it’s still class A/B so it sounds good.

“I was impressed with how the Terror Stamp condenses the appeal of Orange Amps into such a small, versatile package.”

Editor’s Choice NAMM 2020 – April Edition

Does this cheap $200 amp suck? Nope. It kinda rocks!

Its size, sound and price make it a winner and likely one of the best NAMM 2020 releases.

I am genuinely impressed with the Terror Stamp

I think it’s brilliant.

This is a fantastic utility for miniature pedal boards and fly rig solutions.

If you want to have the smallest, volume packing solution for playing live or just have fun at home that’s a real good option right there.

Thanks to the analogue circuit design, the Terror Stamp feels every bit as great to play as you’d expect from an Orange amplifier.

An Entire Bi-Amp Bass Rig In a Pedal

Back in the good ol’ days, it was a popular practice to send a bass guitar signal to a bass amp and a guitar amp at the same time – known as Bi-Amping. This allows the player to keep their low end deep, clean and defined whilst amplifying the mids and top end separately, adding distortion or crisp highs with total control.

This type of setup can produce some enormous tones but typically requires a huge and complicated rig, only possible if you’re Rock ‘n’ Roll royalty. But, if you have to get all this together by yourself? Forget it!

Enter The Bass Butler…

Your Bass Rig Is Ready, Sir

Forget amp-in-a-box pedals, The Bass Butler is a whole van-load of gear in a box! Splitting your signal at the input, The Bass Butler features two completely separate, parallel, analogue signal chains, just like a real bi-amp rig. The difference is there’s not an amp in sight.

Bass Channel:

The always-on Bass Channel has a simple but effective control layout of Compression, Bass, Treble and Volume. A Class A optical compressor circuit, cut/boost tone controls and dedicated, bass cabinet-simulated balanced D.I. output are always on hand with all manner of classic clean tones. From the depths of Dub to the heights of hi-fi, The Bass Butler has it all polished up and ready, like your best pair of shoes.

Guitar Channel:

Whether you need mayhem, musicality or a mere modicum of mischief, this classic high-gain guitar channel won’t disappoint. Five familiar controls and four gain stages that can clean right up are summoned with one kick of the footswitch, serving up everything from bright vintage tones to floor-splitting, wall-crumbling modern destruction. Coupled with a guitar cab-simulated balanced D.I. output and an expression pedal jack for extra control over the input gain, this really is a plentiful platter, pleasing to the even pickiest of players.

Direct and To-the-Point

The Bass Butler’s two individual XLR outputs from the two separate channels mean that your finished Bi-Amp bass tone makes it to the mixing desk with nothing left to do except blend to taste, with a Ground Lift switch for solving any ground loop issues. It’s the same story in the studio, but that’s not all…

The Bass Butler also features an Amp output, which takes a blend of the two channels before the cabinet simulation circuits from a 1/4” jack – perfect for connecting to the front end of any bass amp. The blend is set by the channel volume controls, meaning you can control your on-stage sound completely independently of what the audience hear. In fact, you can even use this output on its own, just like a plain old preamp pedal.

Five-Star Quality

As The Bass Butler is the ultimate fly rig, the perfect studio tool and quite possibly the only pedal you’ll ever need, it has to be built to last. A sturdy steel enclosure, 18V DC power for high headroom, and all-round road-ready ruggedness mean that The Bass Butler is willing and waiting for a lifetime in your service.

The Bass Butler was conceived over many IPAs in a small bar on Santa Monica BLVD called the Surly Goat with Morgan Nicholls (who played bass in The Who at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony and also plays the keyboards in Muse). The idea was to have his bi-amp touring rig in a small, portable preamplifier pedal.

The adjustable octave-up. If used with a buffer in front of the pedal, this control acts more like a distortion control.

Brings the Octave in or out

Brings the Fuzz in or out

Vintage Fuzz

Loosely based on the vintage Foxx Tone Machine, the Orange Fur Coat Fuzz takes its inspiration from the great fuzz pedals of the 70’s.

The Fur Coat gives you a fully controllable octave fuzz pedal. Separate switches mean you can choose between Fuzz or Octave Fuzz. The controllable Octave up fuzz means you can bring in the fuzz to whatever level you need and the EQ allows you to boost your Treble or Bass. This truly is a fuzz you control.

This is our only True Bypass pedal. This is because a Fuzz is better at the beginning of the chain where it interacts directly with your guitar. Placing the pedal further into your signal chain or after a buffer will give the fuzz a more distorted tone.

Vintage Fuzz:

The Orange Fur Coat fuzz can be used into a clean amp or an amp with some hair. When used into an overdriven amp, it creates a unique, thick “fur coat” of vintage fuzz.

Adjustable Octave:

Something quite rare, rather than simply being able to switch it on/off, the Fur Coat adds octave up as you increase the octave control.

The Orange Fur Coat fuzz draws very little current (much less than 10mA) allowing for long battery life. Use a regulated 9-12V DC centre-negative power supply.

It sounds absolutely phenomenal.

I’ve tried every fuzz pedal on the planet. This is my new favorite. The Fur Coat is everything I expected Orange would do with an octave fuzz. It’s seriously gnarly

‘Scuse me while I kiss the sky!” Channel your inner Jimi with the new Orange Fur Coat Fuzz / Octave pedal. This pedal is a great representation of the octavo clone on one side, and a screaming fuzz face style pedal on the other. Stacked together these effects take your mind back to the late 60’s and 70’s with a wide range of fuzz tones from funky to frantic, complimented with helping create beefy rhythms to soaring solos. The ability to roll the volume back and go from a clean blues to a speaker blowing fuzz with just your guitar is great for dynamics and versatility.

There are 4 controls, Volume, EQ, Fuzz, and octave which help you dial in even more precise options to make your playing have more depth and be more musical. This pedal is helping me create tones I would never have a chance of doing with just my “go to” Rockerverb and no pedal set up. Its always good to step outside of what you are a custom to, and when a pedal alone sparks a new sense of creativity and inspiration, that’s when you have something special. Take the trip, and plug into one now.. See what you can create with it!

Fuzzes are difficult beasts… most of the time it comes down to wether you are having fun with it or not. There is now “how good does it sound” or “how transparent is it”… does it inspire you to play stuff you wouldn’t have played without it… that is the question. The FUR COAT definitely ticks that box!

This is just…just AWESOME!

This is just so much fun to play!

“There are many fuzz pedals on the market, and there are many kinds of fuzz sounds available. But the Orange Amps Fur Coat presents us with an instantly likable, highly functional option for a pretty reasonable price that holds its own against the legion of boutique builders and fuzz scientists out there.”

“A frightfully British octave fuzz that is really cool!”

“The Fur Coat is a jack-of-all-trades analogue fuzz that combines a burly, saturated fuzz tone with a piercing octave up for two distinct options under one hood.”

This is one the fuzzaholics should be looking into.

The Fur Coat offers up a tone that’s wonderfully destructive!

The Fur Coat Vintage Fuzz sets a new benchmark for commercially produced fuzz. It refers to and honours its heritage while sounding as good as or even better than the original. It adds welcome and modern appointments like the octave adjustment, octave on/off footswitch and an uber-tough build. Then there’s the very non-boutique asking price. Win, win and win again.

Fur-Coat yourselves, winter is coming!!

The Fur Coat is a phenomenal fuzz pedal

I’m amazed at the sonic textures that ooze from the Fur Coat Fuzz Pedal!

You can go from vintage, Hendrix style tones, to all out destruction! In short, this pedal Is a complete MONSTER!!

This pedal is truly through the roof and Orange Amps have nailed a truly awesome pedal

A ’70s amp in a box

The Getaway Driver is an amp-in-a-box type pedal with just three dials – Volume, Bite (tone) and Gain. While the pedal adds its vintage vibe on all amplifiers, it really excels when used with the amplifier’s clean channel, even ones with a bright cap. It also makes a great clean boost, with lower Gain and higher Volume settings pushing amps over the edge into classic overdrive.

The gain structure is produced using single-ended JFET circuitry running in Class A, just like a valve amp. The input buffer, output buffer and Cab Sim are handled using op-amps, using a charge pump to give 18v of headroom.

The pedal features the same transparent, buffered output used on the Orange Two Stroke and Kongpressor pedals. While the second output is a buffered Cab Sim/headphone amp which can also work into a PA (via a DI box) or directly into a recording interface. The first output is transparent when bypassed, however, when using the second output, the Cab Sim remains engaged. This means that the Getaway Driver can be used as just a Cab Sim on its own if needed.

The voicing and gain structure of this pedal is based on a cranked modded ’70s valve amp. Running at 9 Volts, the pedal will have the character of EL84 valves, whereas 12 Volts will give an EL34 flavour. Use a regulated 9-12V DC centre-negative power supply.

’70s amp in a box

It sounds like a ’70s amp cranked in a box. It’s voiced on multiple vintage amplifiers, such as a 1972 ‘Pics Only’ Orange Amplifier modified by our technical director, Ade Emsley.

Cab Sim Output

Connect the pedal direct into an audio interface, the PA (via a DI) or just to your headphones. It is modelled on a G12H30 which is a 30 Watt Celestion speaker used in our 1970s Orange cabs. If you’re using this output, it’s actually still active when you’re bypassing the pedal allowing you to use other pedals (such as fuzz and distortion), amplifier preamps (via their FX send) with the Cab Sim only.

Internal button

There’s a button inside the getaway driver that when pushed in, tames the top end to make it better for clean channels with treble bleed caps on the volume which is helpful for amplifiers such as the Orange Rockerverb. It compensates for the extra treble in the amp so it doesn’t overcook the top end.

You have a modified 70s tube amp, cranked and in a box which is all single ended class A. You have an output to go into the clean channel of an amp and one for headphones with CabSim on. You can go into headphones at 1AM in the morning when your neighbours are asleep and get a cranked 70s amp sound from your guitar late at night.

It’s great for writing as you can go straight into a recording interface. Or should have smoulder someone else’s make of amp, you can go straight into the PA or the DI box and just use that as a backup.

“The Orange pedals are a ton of fun.  I use them on guitars, keyboards, and re-amping sounds out of the computer.  Over the years, I’ve come to trust Orange as a gold standard.  Their stuff is impeccable.”

This things pretty cool. Basically it’s like an amp in a box – it sounds really cool like a vintage Orange. It’s handy for me as you can plug in headphones [for use] on the tour bus or the hotel room and it sounds like an Orange half stack. I need to ask [Orange] to make this pedal into an amp.

The Orange Getaway Driver is an overdrive with a unique attitude! It’s very saturated and unleashes your inner dirty child! Fun can be had here!

It NEEDS to be in my life! It’s insane!

This is a very, very versatile drive pedal and very, very cool!

What this pedal is – is it’s perfect for what I like

“Due to its amp-like nature, the Getaway Driver can be applied to any situation that calls for a real amp”

“The Orange Getaway Driver Overdrive Pedal presents you with a varied pallette of classic amplifier sounds, each with its own distinctive character”

I love the pedal! It’s seriously going to be my main distortion from here on out. It’s exactly the sound that I’ve been after – that I’ve tried to create with a handful of other pedals. Full, loud and huge!

A very cool offering from Orange Amps…Simple, sounds great, no complaints here!

Invest in the Orange Getaway Driver and you won’t regret it.

You get some really cool and unique tones out of this pedal!

This cracking little pedal lets you take the unique Orange sound wherever you go.

Thoroughly impressed with this little box. Gives a really responsive drive without sounding synthetic or uselessly thin. Long live the Getaway Driver.

Tone is the bottom line and Orange are not known to disappoint. They certainly don’t here.

Both the amount of volume on tap and the warmth of the clipping leave plenty of scope for combinations that will work with any amp to get that rich, classic drive.

Awarded 5 stars

I’ve found the Getaway drive to be ideal for the crunch tone I was looking to add to my TH30, the emulated cab output is also awesome to add another layer of guitar directly out of my board through the PA!

That’s frickin’ insane! It has a definite space on any pedalboard.

All guitars on this track were taken directly from the pedal CabSim output into a USB audio interface.
