Wish Granted

Our highly anticipated Wish Granted competition has evolved into an annual Christmas tradition. Every year, as a token of gratitude to our fans worldwide, we celebrate by gifting thousands of pounds worth of Orange gear to the fortunate winners. Best of luck! And remember, if luck doesn’t favour you this time, there’s always next year.

Identity

The Orange identity is a culmination of values best represented by our Crest. Adorning all of our Orange products since 1970, the Orange Crest is crafted with iconography representing our principles—from Pan, the God of music, to scales that symbolise fairness in trade.

Strawberry Field

This year our founder and CEO Cliff Cooper generously donated the most technologically advanced bandstand in the world to the salvation army, a charity that is close to Cliff’s heart for their support shown to his father on returning from WW1. The bandstand is located at Strawberry field in Liverpool. Inspired by the Beatles song, Strawberry Field Forever, the bandstand resembles the iconic drum from the front of the Beatles album, Sgt. Pepper and the lonely hearts.

Heritage

The heritage of Orange Amps spans 55 years, reaching back to the swinging ’60s in London. Too much has happened along our journey to explain in this paragraph, but fortunately, we’ve created a timeline of articles exploring our company’s many endeavours since its inception in 1968. This way, you can brush up on your Orange history and learn the story behind our legendary brand.

Global

There’s a reason ‘Voice of the World’ is written on every Orange amp. Our founder, Cliff Cooper, saw his aspirations of having a global company come to fruition a long time ago, but our journey doesn’t stop there. We persist in expanding our trade around the globe and strive to provide everyone worldwide with the opportunity to create music through our Orange amps. An excellent example of this is our Wish Granted competition, where individuals from every corner of the world have the chance to win the Orange amps of their dreams.

Rock & Roll

The Orange shop was a central hub for musicians in London, during the prime of British Rock and Roll, back in the 60s and 70s. Since then we’re proud to see musicians from all genres utilising the Orange sound. Our products today are renowned for their versatility but still hold a special place in people’s hearts for that classic Rock and Roll crunch.

Ade Emsley

Orange Technical Director Ade Emsley has become a legend within the music industry. Born and bred in the heart of South London, Ade joined Orange in 1998 and through his authenticity, heard in every Orange amp and resonated through his cockney accent, he has proven time and time again that he’s the best at what he does and a true Rock & Roll Legend.

Nashville

Orange has always admired the huge amount of musical talent in America and appreciates all the love and support our American fans show us. So much so that we established an Orange showroom in Nashville in 2016, led by our American artist relations specialist and industry legend, Pat Foley.  Where we’ve been fortunate enough to attract amazing artists, from Orianthi to The Cadillac Three. Most notably, we collaborated with Marcus King to design a signature amp, the Marcus King MK Ultra, the first of its kind, proudly built in the USA.

Tubes

Tubes (Valves), especially the EL34, play a crucial role in defining the British sound of Orange Amplifiers. The EL34 contributed to a distinct and aggressive tone, differentiating it from the American sound. This valve’s scooped mids and forward tone became synonymous with the British rock scene. Artists like Jimi Hendrix and Fleetwood Mac embraced this British sound and over the years, Orange’s amplifier models, such as the Rockerverb series, have continued to refine and amplify the classic British crunch.

Orange Essentials

Orange Essentials is the latest edition to the Orange family, a space for music lovers that don’t necessarily play the guitar but still want the quality craftsman that all Orange gear has a repetition for. We’re proud to announce that our Orange BOX just won the STUFF gadget award for Best Bluetooth Speaker of the year 2023

Design

Orange has a reputation for the highest quality products on the market. Built to last, there are touring musicians today that are still using Orange amps built over 50 years ago. Our speaker cabinets are renowned, not only for being as loud as thunder but for being robust enough to withstand hurricanes… and hurt roadies’ backs. Not only is every product designed here in England, we also build a wide range of products here too.
