In More Detail
Think of the Orange OBC215 as two OBC115s in one cabinet. The same Celestion Pulse drivers and internal tunings are housed in two acoustically isolated chambers, each with its own front port. That layout keeps the lows tight and controlled while pushing out a deeper, warmer bottom end with more spread across the stage, which makes the cab ideal if you like feeling the bass as much as hearing it. The concept for the cabinet started as a request from touring artists, who stack two 115s on top of each other and didn’t want to lug so much gear — and grew from there.
All the practical details are built in. The cab uses 18 mm birch ply throughout, a full-length grille so it reads like a single monolithic unit on stage, and Speakon combi-jacks for quick, secure connections. There are grab handles on the sides and the back, plus fitted casters, so moving it is far less of a workout than if you’re dealing with a pair of 115s. It’s also a touch shorter and more compact than an OBC810, while still delivering that big Orange footprint in the mix.
Dual-chamber front-ported design
The OBC215 uses two acoustically isolated chambers, each with its own front port. That means the speakers aren’t fighting each other, and the cab can be tuned for a deeper, warmer low end without getting woolly. It’s a bassier, more supportive voice than you’d expect from a single box, with a wider spread across the stage, so you don’t disappear the moment you step away from your rig.
Two OBC115s, one cab
If you love the low-end throb and character of the OBC115, this is that idea, just doubled up. The OBC215 uses the same Celestion Pulse 15-inch speakers and the same internal tuning, but brings them together in one cabinet. You get the feel of a pair of 1×15s, with less stacking, less wiring, and less to think about when you’re loading in. It’s a straightforward solution for players who want big-cab authority without building a tower.
Big-rig feel, more manageable moving
This cab was designed for real-world stages and all the hits that it may take while on its way there from the van. It’s built from 18 mm birch ply, with a full-length grille and solid hardware, so it can take knocks night after night. Speakon combi-jacks keep connections simple and secure, while handles on the sides and back give you options in tight spaces. Add the fitted casters and suddenly a “big cab” experience feels a lot more manageable.
