In More Detail
Despite its compact size, the Crush 12 is built to deliver big, bold sound. Its all-analogue signal path offers the immediacy and feel of a proper valve amp, with smooth breakup and touch-sensitive response. The powerful overdrive circuit can take you from bluesy crunch to full-on distortion, making it a great tool for exploring your sound. A three-band EQ gives you simple but effective tone shaping, while the custom-designed 6” Voice of the World speaker brings surprising depth and punch for its size.
Whether you’re using it for bedroom practice, backstage warmups or home recording, the Crush 12 delivers serious tone in a no-fuss package. And like every Orange amp, it’s built to last:rugged, road-ready, and wrapped in our unmistakable orange tolex. If you’re looking for an affordable amp that sounds great and keeps things simple, the Crush 12 is all you need. Explore the sonic signature and standout specs of the Crush 12 in the detailed overview below.

All-analogue signal path

Unlike many practice amps in this price range, the Crush 12 is fully analogue from input to output. That means a more natural response, better dynamics and a sound that feels alive under your fingers. Whether you’re playing clean or pushing it into overdrive, the tone stays rich, responsive and warm, just like a classic amp should. It’s simple, immediate, and a world away from the cold, sterile sound of digital modelling.
CabSim headphone output

The Crush 12 features our CabSim-loaded headphone output, an analogue circuit that emulates the sound of a 4×12 cab carrying our Voice of the World speakers. Whether you’re practising silently at home or making a record in your bedroom studio, you’ll still get the depth, power and character of a real-life speaker stack through the headphone-out socket. It’s a proper tone, with no digital compromise, and it means you can play any time, day or night.
Three-band EQ

With its bass, middle and treble controls, the Crush 12’s EQ section lets you easily shape your tone to suit your style. Scoop the mids for heavier tones, roll back the treble for a smoother lead sound, or boost the mids for extra cut-through and definition. It’s quick, intuitive and versatile, and responds musically, not mathematically, meaning you spend less time tweaking, and more time playing.
