In More Detail
The Orange Fur Coat is a ferocious fuzz pedal rooted in the saturated sounds of the late 70s. Its circuit is loosely based on the classic Foxx Tone Machine, delivering thick, chewy tones with huge sustain and harmonic richness. A switch on the front lets you engage or disengage the octave-up effect, making it ideal for ripping leads or bold textures. The active tone control offers precise shaping, whether you want scooped-out mids or a punchier presence.
While the Fur Coat is voiced for guitar, it also shines with bass, retaining low-end power while adding snarling attitude. It runs on standard 9 V power and draws no more than 5 mA, making it ideal for low-current pedalboards or battery use. Whether you're after classic Sabbath-style fuzz, soaring octave solos, or something altogether nastier, the Fur Coat has the girth and grit to deliver, and then some.
Vintage fuzz

The Fur Coat takes inspiration from the classic fuzz circuits of the late 1970s, delivering saturated tones with thick sustain and characterful decay. Whether you're playing heavy riffs or droning chords, it brings out the raw, woolly edge that defines vintage fuzz. Unlike modern high-gain pedals, the Fur Coat doesn’t mask your playing, but enhances it, responding to your guitar's dynamics for expressive control. It's a fuzz pedal with attitude, depth, and unmistakable old-school mojo.
Adjustable octave

One of the Fur Coat’s standout features is its switchable octave-up effect. When engaged, it adds an upper harmonic that creates the kind of glitchy artefacts and metallic overtones ideal for psych, garage, or experimental music. Leave it off, and you’re left with a huge, classic fuzz. There’s no need to ride your guitar’s controls or swap pedals mid-set, just toggle the switch and choose between pure fuzz or octave-powered chaos.
Low power consumption

With a power draw of just 3–5 mA, the Fur Coat is incredibly efficient, especially for a fuzz pedal with this much gain and character. That makes it perfect for battery use, compact travel boards, or setups where every milliamp matters. Despite the low current draw, there’s no compromise on tone or output. It delivers massive fuzz with punch, clarity, and staying-power, all from a pedal that’s easy to integrate into any rig.
