THE RETURN OF A MODERN CLASSIC
You Kept Asking for It…
The Terror Bass is back and it sounds better than ever. With a valve preamp and a 500W Class D solid state power amp, the all-new Terror Bass sounds closer to our flagship AD200 than ever before.
Though the circuit is completely new, the Terror Bass retains the control layout from the original amp, with the addition of a Clean switch. This reduces gain and smoothes the top-end, giving this super-simple amp an even greater range of tones than its predecessor. From clean Pop sounds through to gritty Rock crunch, the Terror Bass can do it all.
There’s also a -6dB pad switch, meaning active and passive instruments are equally well catered for.
The Terror bass uses a lightweight and efficient Class D power amp, with 500 watts of power into 4 Ohms and 250 Watts into 8 Ohms. Coupled with the Balanced XLR output and valve-driven FX Loop, the Terror bass is perfect for any situation, whether it’s the studio, rehearsal or a life on the road.

“I’ve completely redesigned the Terror Bass to make it much closer to the AD200 front end.”

I’m so glad the days of sh*tty sounding Class D amps is finally over. It’s solid, it sounds big and has everything that I would be looking for!

The 2018 version is considerably more versatile than the original – and it still provides wonderfully organic tones that rockers and retro-inclined bassists alike will love, while breaking neither back nor bank

I really think Orange has nailed it with this amp. I don’t know if we need to break our backs with these all tube things any more, It just doesn’t weigh anything.

The Terror Bass is the latest addition to the much loved, Terror series. It delivers the classic British tone synonymous with Orange, from an ultra-lightweight lunchbox construction.

It sounds so good! Whether you’re a clean player, a finger player, a slap player or you want a lot of gain… it’s cracking.

The tempered grit of the dirty boost paired with the Höfner would be the tone I’d track with all day, every day.

It packs a real sonic punch in a cost effective, easily-transportable package, and its versatility is a real bonus.

“The Orange Terror Bass head and OBC112 Cabinet bring you the iconic tone you’ve come to expect from the brand, but in a size/weight that is conducive to the modern player. With the addition of the clean switch on the amp, you’ve got even more tonal options at your disposal. The cab sounds absolutely huge despite its footprint and weight. All in all, this is how a company listens to the needs of the players, period.”
