Make the connection
The Orange Box-L’s Bluetooth 5 technology allows an instant and super-stable connection with high-quality audio and low-energy broadcasting. Alternatively, plug directly into the unit using the supplied anti-tangle aux cord. The unit’s Bluetooth button also doubles as a play/pause function: once connected, just tap the button to stop and start the audio, saving you from having to find your phone when you want to stop playback.

Fill your home with perfect audio
With classic Orange looks evoking the unmistakable amplifiers that dominate legendary stages all over the world, the Orange Box-L will add a splash of rock’n’roll glamour to any surface in your home. But something this beautiful is not just designed to be looked at — it demands to be heard too: the Orange Box-L has been custom built from the ground up by Orange’s engineers to bring crisp, detailed and nuanced audio to any room with 50 W RMS continuous power, making it the most powerful in its class.
Considered construction
Precision-engineered cabinet design maximises the efficiency of the Orange Box-L’s bass response, allowing its three custom-tuned Voice of the World speakers to project with an authority and definition that belies its form.

Crystal-clear audio
More than half a century of experience with amplifiers means that the wizards at Orange know how to make a box of any size sound impeccable, and they’ve pulled off the same trick with the Orange Box. Whatever you throw at it, from disco to thrash, pop to punk, the Orange Box will perform perfectly. Orange Bluetooth Boxes are the only Bluetooth speakers on the market that use both Class D and A/B Analogue amplifiers, giving them controlled, tight, punchy bass and smooth, natural mids and highs. A specially voiced subwoofer, balanced by the twin high-frequency cones and precision housing, ensures you get the most boom from your box without the muddy lack of definition that blights so many other Bluetooth speakers. Add in hugely responsive analogue EQ dials to tweak the sound to your room shape and taste, and you have a the sort of audio quality you’d normally hear from speakers ten times the size and price.

Sound advice
With great power comes great responsibility, though, and that’s where the Orange Box-L’s overload light comes in. The box continuously monitors the volume of the signal, and flashes the overload light to let you know if the unit is being driven too hard, potentially damaging the speaker. As a unique audio-safety feature, its inclusion helps ensure that the Orange Box-L will stay in its prime for years.
Your right to repair
The Orange Box-L boasts the same rugged, road-ready construction standards as all of Orange’s professional-level amplifiers, meaning that this is a piece of kit built to last. And to back this up, Orange pledge to make stock and replacement parts continuously available into the 2030s, with spare cables and components on hand to ensure that your Orange Box-L becomes a sustainable investment in great-sounding audio for many years to come.

By far the best home Bluetooth speaker I’ve heard. This speaker sounds amazing, and is so well built. I highly recommend it.

I own the Stanmore 3 from Marshall and I gotta say, somehow this thing beats Stanmore with less watts. I didn’t even overload them either because I was worried about damage. The bass was shaking my table. It’s insane. Volume, clarity, any category I think of it either did equal to or better than Stanmore. The only problem, I would say, is the lack of technology. I know guitar amps and bluetooth speakers are very similar items, but they speak to very different markets (I’m actually taking my first marketing class right now. Look at me go). Things like being able to control the volume from my phone feed more into the wireless and hands free aspect of a bluetooth device. But not too much technology, however. Too many useless and malfunctioning features and it just annoys you. You could also end up in a situation Marshall is in where they promised we’d be able to link two speakers wirelessly, but here we are over a year later and it doesn’t look like we’re getting any news soon. Just start with the basics, volume, bass, treble, and let the rest of the kinks get worked out. All in all, I bought both colors. That should be enough evidence that the pros massively outweigh the cons.

Extremely good value for money – excellent sound and good build quality.
Works without WiFi, Bluetooth or aux only.

I give the Orange Box L a score of 4 out of 5. I first purchased the Orange Box portable model, and was pretty disappointed. I was quite surprised at the step up in sound quality from the Box L model, even though the specs are the same except for a 1 inch larger bass driver. Maybe it’s got to do with the larger encasement, or perhaps a unit that does not have a battery in it sounds better; I don’t know. But the L model is definitely better in my opinion. Knocking the rating down one point for 2 reasons:
1. Just because it’s a bit larger, and not battery powered doesn’t mean that folks won’t take it from place to place and just plug it in! I wish they had included the portable pegs and a strap like they did for the battery powered unit.
2. The flashing overload light drives me nuts! Orange is directed towards rock fans right? We like to play music loud, but every time I turn the volume past 1 o’clock, this thing just never stops flashing. Kind of annoying.
Anything, those are small quibbles I guess. On balance this is a great unit.

I live in a small flat so space is a premium. Up until today I was using my TV soundbar to listen to vinyl. This Box-L speaker doesnt take up much space, looks amazing and the sound quality is stunning. Am so looking forward to revisiting my fav vinyl and enjoying them on a decent speaker system.
