This manual contains valuable technical and safety information. Please take the time to read this manual as the information may enhance the sound and performance of your amplifier. We are confident that you will be delighted with your new purchase and that it will provide you with many years of enjoyment. Important Safety Information

1) Read these instructions.
2) Keep these instructions.

5) Do not use this apparatus near water.
6) Clean only with dry cloth.
7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarised or grounding-type plug. A polarised plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated ‘dangerous voltage’ within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

Terminals labelled as “Speaker Outputs” must be connected to a speaker cabinet of the designated load rating using an un-shielded two conductor cable for speaker use at all times during operation.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle and "WARNING" are intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating instructions. Failure to heed the instructions will result in severe injury or death.

NEVER PLACE OBJECTS CONTAINING LIQUIDS ON OR NEAR THE PRODUCT. IF LIQUID FALLS INTO THE PRODUCT, DISCONNECT THE DEVICE FROM THE MAINS OUTLET AND REFER THE PRODUCT TO AN AUTHORISED TECHNICIAN.

NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE INTERIOR OF THE PRODUCT.

This product complies with the WEEE Directive (2002/96/EC) marking requirement. This affixed product label indicates that you must not discard this electrical/electronic product in domestic household waste. Please contact your local authority for details of your nearest approved recycling facility.

Before Using Your Amplifier

IMPORTANT!

Ensure that all batteries, 10 x AA (LR6) are correctly installed or that a 19V DC centre positive adaptor is attached. Using an adaptor will disengage the batteries. Be advised that different operating voltages require different types of line cord and attachment plugs. If you are unsure, please contact your Orange dealer.

The top panel of the Crush Acoustic 30 is divided into 4 sections indicated by the following icons.

Channel 1 – Guitar

Channel 2 – Mic

Jack/XLR combi input

Bass

Adjusts the lower frequency response. Increasing the Bass produces deeper sounds.

Bass

Adjusts the lower frequency response. Increasing the Bass produces deeper sounds.

Mid

Adjusts the midrange response. Increasing the mids creates a fatter sound, whilst reducing ‘scoops’ the tone.

Treble

Adjusts the high frequency response. Increase the Treble for brighter tones or reduce for a warmer sound.

Treble

Adjusts the high frequency response. Increase the Treble for brighter tones or reduce for a warmer sound.

Gain

Controls the gain level (volume) of Channel 1. When set to minimum, no sound will be heard.

Gain

Controls the gain level (volume) of Channel 1. When set to minimum, no sound will be heard.

Phantom Power

Activates phantom power when using a condenser microphone (check manufacturer specifications).

Colour

Changes the voicing of Channel 1. When engaged, it will boost presence and slightly cut midrange frequencies.

Mic/Line

Selects between instrument/line level signals from the jack input and mic level signals from the XLR input.

Pad

Reduces the input signal by 10dB, maintaining a clean signal with higher output instruments.

Effects

Controls effects on Channel 1 & 2

Global

These controls affect both Channel 1 & 2

Level

Controls the overall volume of the selected effect.

Volume

Adjusts the volume of the both channels. With the gain controls set to zero no sound will be heard.

Blend

Adjusts how much of the selected effect is applied to each channel. In the 12 o’clock position, both channels will be affected equally. Fully anticlockwise, the effect will only be applied to Channel 1. Fully clockwise, the effect will only be applied to Channel 2.

Notch

Adjusts the frequency of a narrow-Q notch filter. Selects and removes a precise frequency to help combat feedback.

Reverb/Chorus Depth

Selects the type of effect and increases the effect depth as the knob is rotated clockwise.

AUX
For use with MP3 players, laptops etc. via a 3.5mm audio cable. The audio signal is internally summed to mono.

Power Indicator

The LED (located on the top panel) will illuminate green when the POWER switch is set to ON. It will show red when the batteries are low.

1. Balanced OutputSends a balanced, line-level signal (post-EQ) to a mixer or PA system. Engage the ground LIFT/GND button if ground hum becomes a problem when connecting the amplifier to external equipment.
2. Ground/LiftLifts the ground of the output XLR.
3. 1/4″ Line Out JackSends an unbalanced, line-level signal (post-EQ) to a mixer or PA system.
4. FX LoopUsed to place external effects between the amplifier’s preamplifier section and output section. Connect the SEND jack to the input of external effects. Connect the output of external effects to the RETURN jack.
5. DC InputUse only the supplied DC adaptor. Connecting the DC adaptor will disconnect the batteries.
6. Power ON/OFFSwitches the mains power supply to the amplifier ON/OFF.

Orange amplifiers are covered by our standard 1 year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing and component defects. This is non-transferable and is subject to consumer protection laws in the country of purchase and distributor’s terms and conditions. An additional year can be added by registering your product online. Valves and speakers supplied with an Orange amplifier or purchased separately at our online store are covered for 90 days from the date of purchase.

The warranty status of any Orange product is subject to its being used for its intended purpose in suitable conditions. Orange amps are protected from damage caused by inconsistent mains voltage by various fuses. We recommend that Orange users have a set of spare fuses.
