Orange is here to help!

It can be downright scary asking guitar related questions online. Will you look like an idiot for asking the “wrong question?” Shouldn’t you already know how impedance works? Or that running a 200 watt head through a 5 watt cab will possibly cause a fire? Fret no longer (puns!), because we want to make the whole FAQ process less stressful.

The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that we have already been releasing the “Orange Answers” series with our shop tech, John “Denzil” Dines. So do you struggle with compression and dialing it in? Do you struggle with how to bi amp? Just ask us and we will try to answer your questions through our FAQ section or YouTube channel.

Here is an overview of the first four questions we’ve tackled:

  1. Martin Bass
    Martin Bass says:

    Hello there Oranges ,
Is it possible to run a stereo Rickenbacker with a stereo cable into the amp detonator and then into 2 terror amps . So.. will the amp detonator split this stereo signal or see it just as a mono signal ?

Hello Oranges, i just bought an amp with an imput of 120v and i need one with 220v. How can i change the red switcher at the back of the product? I have an orange crush RT20. Thank you.

      Charlie says:

We’d recommend you contact your dealer as this also requires changing the fuse – trying to switch it yourself and turning it on will stop the amp from working.

  3. Ben Smith
    Ben Smith says:

Hey Orange, just wondering, can I run a bass guitar through the Brent Hinds Terror or an AD140? Wanna start gigging asap and I love basses through guitar amps, just want to make sure it’s safe with these 2 heads. I’am using a bass cab as well.

    Cheers!

    • Daniel
      Daniel says:

Hi Ben, Yes it should be safe to run a bass into a Brent Hinds Terror or an AD140, as long as the impedance is correct with the heads and cabinets then you should be fine. Thanks Orange HQ

Hey Orange, was just wondering if it’s safe to run a bass guitar through either a Brent Hinds Terror or an AD140, or both. Love to start gigging asap and love the sound of a bass through a guitar head, but just wanted to make sure it is safe to do so with these 2 amps. I’am using a bass cab with the rig as well.

I’m considering purchasing a micro dark terror and need a definitive answer as to whether I can go direct to interface to DAW from the headphone output on the micro. Thanks!
